In my work I document American landscapes, exploring the relationships we share with the land and the objects we construct.

As I drive I see a story unfold about the monuments we build, the signs we place to point the way, and the stillness of the natural world as it watches us go about our business. As an “Interpretive Realist,” I am concerned with documenting physical locations while also attempting to capture the soul and geometry of moment and place.

My paintings are site specific. The ability for both myself and others to locate and physically visit a location I have painted is critical to my creative process.
